Watch: Bengaluru man bites traffic police in viral video

A video from Bengaluru is going viral on social media. In the video, a man can be seen biting the fingers of a traffic police.

The 28 year old man has been identified as S Syed Shafi. As per police, the incident happened on Monday. As per reports, the police has cops arrested the private company employee for allegedly biting a traffic police constable’s fingers when the latter tried to take a picture of him riding without helmet.

The accused, of I Stage, BTM Layout, was reportedly spotted riding a two-wheeler without a helmet on Dr Marigowda Road around 11.30am by head constable Sidrameshwara Kaujalagi. When the constable took out his mobile to click a photo of Shafi, the bike rider stopped and yelled at him.
A police officer told Times of India that the accused confronted the constable, stating he would surrender his number plate for photographic evidence. He then forcibly took Kaujalagi’s mobile phone and attempted to flee.

“However, Kaujalagi chased and stopped him. Then, the youth (later identified as Shafi) attacked Kaujalagi and bit his fingers. Hearing the commotion, a Hoysala vehicle reached the place and detained the youth,” the police official said.

The video is going viral on internet, with many opining their views. One X user sarcasticly commented, “Did they become zombies? Why are they trying to bite people?”
Another quipped, “Lol this is something new. You want him to pay fine thn its ok but atleast give innovation award to him. Nvr saw anyone biting police.”

Another Twiter user wondered what was his urgency. “Going to hospital? For what? To do surgery?are you a doctor? Are you ambulance on two wheels? What’s the arrogance in that excuse? What gives them so much confidence that they are assaulting a police officer?” he said.
