West Coast Eagles forward Jamie and wife Liv Cripps welcome second son named Lance to family

West Coast Eagles forward Jamie Cripps is a daddy again after his wife Liv gave birth to his second son on Monday.

Cripps and Liv made the joint baby announcement with a photo posted to both their Instagram accounts on Thursday.

“Lance Owen Cripps. 14.08.23”, he captioned the image.

Mark LeCras was stoked for his former teammate writing: “Lil rippa congratulations”.

Netballer Nat Medhurst was also pleased: “Huge congratulations guys. Beautiful.”

The couple made their pregnancy announcement with a photo taken at their friend’s engagement party in February.

Liv showed off her growing baby bump with the caption: “Celebrating our besties (sic) love with our newest little love.”

The new baby is a sibling to Reif, who turns three in September.

Northhampton born Cripps married Liv in Wilyabrup in 2021.

This is a miracle baby for the pair, as a week after their wedding Liv began cancer treatment.

Aged just 26, she discovered a lump in her neck that turned out to be papillary thyroid cancer.

She was forced to isolate from Reif at the time due to a dose of radioactive iodine doctors used to kill off cancer cells.

Cripps joined West Coast’s extensive injury list this footy season after breaking his ankle in April.

He rejoined the team for round 16 and was a stand out player for the Eagles last week.
