West Leederville-based agent Miles Garner raises money for Starlight Foundation at Halloween Spooktacular

West Leederville-based agent Miles Garner will be hosting his third annual Halloween “Spooktacular” at Menzies Park to raise money for the Starlight Foundation.

Over the past two years, Mr Garner’s Starlight Spooktacular for Little Horrors has raised more than $6000 to help the foundation grant wishes and experiences to seriously ill children.

As a father of two, Mr Garner said it was a “logical decision” to raise funds for a foundation that helps children.

Your local paper, whenever you want it.

“Any kid that is obviously not doing too well is pretty devastating,” he said.

“Raising the money for Starlight is rewarding, but I guess you don’t see the firsthand benefit of it.

“But when you’re at the event and everyone’s having a great time, it’s pretty rewarding.”

“And now that it’s getting a bit of a following, kids are literally asking at school drop off and pick up, ‘How are you going to be doing your event again?’” Mr Garner said.

The celebration will include bouncy castles, face painting, balloon twisters and food trucks.

Raffle tickets and goodie bags will also be available for purchase, with all funds going to the Starlight Foundation.

“Everyone’s welcome to come down and have a look around,” Mr Garner said.

“It is funded by myself personally, Realmark doesn’t pay for the event.

“Just come down, have fun and chill out.”

Miles Garner’s Starlight Spooktacular for Little Horrors will run from 3:30-5:30pm at Menzies Park on October 31.
