What’s the dress code for JEE Main Session 2?

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to conduct the JEE Main 2024 session 2 exams from tomorrow, April 4. Candidates who are going to appear for the Joint Entrance Examination – Main April session examinations 2024 must be immersed in their last-minute preparations. However, it is important for them to be aware of the dress code for the engineering entrance exam.

JEE Mains Exam Session 2 Schedule 2024

As per the schedule, on April 4, 5, 6, 8, and 9, Paper 1 for B.E./B.Tech will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift will run from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, while the second shift will run from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Additionally, on April 12, 2024, Paper 2A for B. Arch, Paper 2B for B. Planning, and the combined Paper 2A & 2B for both B. Arch & B. Planning will be conducted. This session also follows a split schedule, with the first shift starting at 9:00 AM and concluding at 12:30 PM.

What you cannot wear

  • Caps, hats, scarves, stoles, mufflers, or any head covering (except for medical reasons and with prior permission)
  • Jewellery, such as rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, anklets, etc.
  • Clothes with elaborate embroidery, metal buttons or zippers, or other metallic items
  • Shoes with chunky heels or thick soles

What you can wear

  • Light, comfortable clothing made from cotton or other breathable fabrics
  • Simple footwear like slippers or sandals
