Who is Ninja?

Ninja is one of the highest paid personalities among streamers, YouTubers, and e-sports players.

His real name is Tyler Blevins and he’s from Grayslake, Illinois.

The 31-year-old became a streamer in 2011 first with Justin TV and when that closed in 2014 moved to Amazon owned Twitch.tv – its parent company.

In 2019 Ninja ditched Twitch to join Mixer and was reportedly being paid $20million per year, according to Geek Wire.

Mixer, owned by Microsoft, shut down in 2020 and Ninja was then free to stream on other platforms.

Ninja began his career playing battle royale H1Z1 at the start of its early access program with Steam, before moving to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) when it also entered the program.

Ninja joined Luminosity Gaming in 2017 as a Halo player, then later moved on to H1Z1 and PUBG, where he won the PUBG Gamescom Invitational in the 3rd Person Squads classification.

He began streaming Fortnite regularly and his number of viewers began to expand along with the game’s growth in popularity.

What is Ninja’s net worth?

Ninja’s net worth is reportedly $40million in 2022, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

That’s in-part due to a number of exclusive rights deals he’s signed with streaming platforms down the years.

It is thought Ninja makes hundreds of thousands of dollars a month from YouTube, according to Techiegamers.com.

He has previously held sponsorship deals with Budweiser, Red Bull, Uber Eats and PSD underwear, and has appeared on Instagram and Twitter alongside footballers Neymar Jr and Harry Kane.

Which games does Ninja stream on Twitch?

Having been locked down to exclusive contracts with platforms such as Mixer in the past, Ninja decided to cover all bases.

He announced in September 2022 that he would now stream simultaneously on Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram and Twitter.

Ninja plays an array of different games, and his selection changes regularly.

He largely streams Fortnite, but has also played a bit of Scarlet Nexus for his Twitch followers.

Ninja boasts 12.5 million Instagram followers, 23 million YouTube subscribers and 6.6 million X, formerly Twitter followers.

Is Ninja married?

Ninja has been married to childhood sweetheart Jessica Blevins since 2017.

The pair apparently met at a Halo tournament in 2010.

Back in 2015, when the couple started living together, Jess took over as his manager.

She said in an interview that she had noticed that he did not respond to business emails in a professional manner, using emojis and not capitalising letters.

In 2022 Jess stepped down for the role saying she was ready for her “next chapter” and that there would be a time she wanted to focus on her own career path.

When was Ninja diagnosed with cancer?

On March,27, 2024 Ninja revealed that he was diagnosed with cancer.

The influencer, 32, said a dermatologist found a mole on his foot and it was removed as a precaution.

Melanoma is the third most common type of skin cancer, according to The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Health experts have warned that it is particularly deadly because it can quickly spread to other parts of the body.

What has Ninja said about his cancer diagnosis?

Ninja revealed the news on X, formerly Twitter, writing: “It came back as melanoma, but they are optimistic that we caught it in the early stages.”

“I had another dark spot appear near it, so today they biopsied that and removed a larger area around the melanoma with the hopes that under the microscope they will see clear non-melanoma edges and we will know we got it.

He expressed his gratitude for detecting the melanoma early and urged his followers to go for regular skin check ups.

Ninja, of Illinois, revealed that his wife Jess had booked the appointment on his behalf.
